John Robbins, heir to the Baskin-Robbins ice cream company. Rather that follow the ice cream parlor legacy founded by his father John left the company to advocate a vegan diet.

He is the author of "Diet for a New America", an exposé on connections between diet, physical health, animal cruelty, and environmentalism, which was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize.

We are lucky enough to have John Roberts speak and present the movie "Bold Native" in Sacramento on Friday, March 4, 2011 at 7:00 PM at the request of the Sacramento Vegan Society.
