I made this into a "spice cake" by subbing for the cocoa a pinch each of cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg and adding a teaspoon of shredded coconut. Delicious!!

I used olive oil for the marge, and oat flour. Stirred in a scant half-teaspoon of chunky peanutbutter before cooking. Ohhhh yes.

Chickpea or "gram" flour is available at any Asian supermarket and often from healthfood stores. Grinding chickpeas in a home grinder will burn out the motor. Ask me how I know this...
