SO HOW'D IT GO?

Im going to try these out later tonight! Question though, should I sift my flour?

A very good recipe and easy to make!  I used 1/2 cup apple sauce and a dash of rice milk to make the dough moister and cooked for about 14 minutes.  A big hit with my little boy.

These cookies were a lot of fun to work with. :)
I've had bad experiences with sugar cookies while putting them into shapes; the dough would be either too runny or too stiff, but this one was just right!
They're cooling right now, I'll post pictures up as soon as I get a chance :)
Thank you!

I realized too late that I didn't have applesauce, so I threw in half a banana and ended up with banana cookies.  They were probably the most contradictory food I've made in a long time- the dough was both greasy and crumbly and they cooked up crispy and chewy at the same time.  Next time, I will use applesauce.

i agree with ashley. mine came out quite greasy. one question: to what thickness do you roll the dough out to?

these were so yummy! the recipe was super easy to follow, but I did have to add more apple sauce (about 1/4 c. more)
thank you!!

I didn't have a problem with dough dryness, if anything the dough was too greasy (which is fine to roll out with but a little leary to eat)  Make sure you leave the cookies thick for ultimate deliciousness.

I subbed some of the sugar for stevia, left out the cinnamon and iced them.

Very tasty indeed! My dough was too dry at first as well. I added a bit of soy milk and it helped the problem but did not fix it. Perhaps I will try vegan butter in place of the oil. I think it would make for a more smooth and less crumbly dough mixture.

The dough might be crumbly because of too much flour added to the recipe.  Don't forget to sift your flour before you measure it - this is very important!  (a cup of unsifted can be significantly more than a cup after it is sifted).

I made these tonight with whole wheat pastry flour and they were excellent.  Even better topped with some vegan cream cheese icing!  :P
