Yummy 'Noochesan' Pasta Topping

What you need:

1 cup nutritional yeast flakes
1 tablespoon dried basil
1 tablespoon dried oregano
3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
3/4 teaspoon salt (or seasoned salt, if you prefer)
1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper

What you do:

1. Combine all ingredients, and mix well.
2, Store in an airtight glass jar, and use as a topping for pasta, pizza, garlic bread, salads, etc.
It's especially good tossed with hot pasta, melted Earth Balance, & chopped fresh basil & spinach (yum!)... but good anywhere traditional cookbooks call for parmesan.
Source of recipe: I made this up, to feed my inner pasta-monster child... tickles my taste buds the same way that aged parmesan used to do... but without the cow-squeezin's!

SO HOW'D IT GO?

Thank you for responding right away, I appreciate it.

Mine won't probably last long either.

Thanks for the info.

I will just keep it out on the table.

Will Spirnkle Away on everything.!

Will put this together tonight.

YUMMMMMMMMM!

I don't store it in the fridge just 'cause I don't usually have room, and it's all stuff that's ok at room temp... I don't know how long it lasts, b/c I usually eat it up fairly quickly, lol! whatever the guidelines are for nutritional yeast, it'd be the same I guess.

Thank You, hotcooknmama,  for this recipe for a "no cheese" topping.  ;)b

Do you have to refrigerate this?

How long will it keep?

Thanks,
Marie-Ann
