SO HOW'D IT GO?

Wooow, these were amazing. I haven't tried many cookie recipes, but this is easily my favorite so far. Thank you.

I searched for a recipe to celebrate my first 30 days being vegan and I'm so glad I found this recipe!!! These cookies were delicious, satisfied my cookie craving and even my non-vegan family members loved them. I made the following adjustments to the recipe...

  • Halfed the recipe
  • Used whole wheat flour
  • Used 1TBSP ground flax meal + 3 TBSP water to replace egg
  • Mini chocolate chips - eyeballed till it looked like enough
  • Baked for 14 mins
  • Left on the pan for 5 mins after removing from the oven
Try this recipe..you won't be disappointed. A lot of great ideas in all the comments.

I love these cookies. I halved the recipe and it came out great. Made about 15 cookies. Hubby who usually doesn't eat cookies gobbled these up a few at a time. Vegan or non-vegan, these are the best cookies I have had.

These were the best cookies I've ever made myself! They came out perfect! I used Ener-G Egg Replacer and I used about 3/4 cup margarine and 1/4 cup oil. Also, I used more like 1 1/2 cups of chocolate chips. This is definitely my new go-to cookie recipe! I think next time I may try them with some almonds too.

These were really good. I used smart balance light & Enger G egg replacer and it worked just fine. Mine weren't flat or greasy like some of the other users described. I also only used about half the chocolate chips  and they still came out delicious :)

This is always my go-to chocolate chip cookie recipe. Everyone who has them absolutely loves them. I do half light and half dark brown sugar, I add a tiny amount of cocoa powder and cinnamon just for interesting flavour. These are so chewy and wonderful :)

So I made these cookies a few months ago and didn't review the recipe, then I wanted to make choco-chip cookies again and couldn't remember what recipe I had used that I loved so much. I made a different cookie which turned out good, then I stumbled upon this recipe again and have made them twice in the past week because I love this recipe so much!

I was looking for a cookie recipe that the rest of my (non-vegan) family would love, and this is it! This is the best cookie recipe I've tried on the site so far. Next time I'm going to use colder butter to see if that will help prevent the spreading. Thanks for sharing!

:)>>> I woke my children up at 1 AM to try these cookies. My husband was mad and found reason why they could not have any. I woke up this morning to find that the cookie bandit had struck. About 8 cookies had walked off to work for a morning snack with my husband.

I was looking for recipes to support my idea of increasing the sugar and butter but did not want oily cookies. I had not considered splitting the types of sugar. These are great.

I did increase the vanilla and used sugar cane sugar instead of white
I used 1/2 c soy butter with 1/2 cup non-hydrogenated shortening. I used at lest 1 1/2 cups of Shoprite semi-sweet chip. These are vegan surprise surprise.

They were still soft and perfect the next morning, I ate cookies all day. Thanks
Making another batch tonight!
