Yummy Avocado Hummus Spread

What you need:

1 avocado (big one, or 2 small ones)
1 cup chickpeas (about 1/3 cup dry chickpeas, soaked overnight)
1-2 Tablespoons of olive oil if you want
garlic (either salt or powder or minced or squashed)
spices (I added some curry powder, and some powdered chili, but you can do what ever)
1/2 of a lime squeezed (I’m in Mexico right now and everything taste better with lime right now)

What you do:

You can do this two ways, one way it to whip out the fossil fuel driven food processor and blend it, the other is to whip out the old fashion fork or some mashing device, I used the latter.
Mash the chickpeas, add some oil if you want, mash up the avocado, add the garlic, and mix in your spices.
You can spread this on to some flax crackers or I made some tortillas thick and spread it on that.
The basics of this recipe is the chick peas with the avocado, the rest of it just what you feel like today, so adding tomatoes, onions, or corn just makes it healthier.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

Makes a great grilled sandwich!  I just threw some avocado and a handful of chickpeas and lime juice in the blender and made a grilled sandwich with it.

This was pretty good, I like it with my falafal pita's, just as a change from regular hummas. It was also good with fajitas.
Just a little note - don't expect it to taste like hummus. LOL  ;D
I would recommend it.
Thanks for the recipe!
