2 cups quick oats
1/3 cup cornmeal
1 tablespoon Earth Balance buttery spread
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons fructose
Preheat a waffle iron on medium high setting. This recipe works best in a Non-Belgian waffle iron (cooks better with smaller waffle pattern).
Combine all ingredients in a blender. Blend until very, very creamy and smooth.
Pour batter into pre-heated waffle iron. Cook for 7-9 minutes until golden brown.
Serve with Earth Balance & maple syrup. May also top with fruit sauce, peanut butter and hot applesauce, chopped nuts, or other favorites.
