Wild Rice Pizza Burgers

What you need: 

1 c. cooked long grain rice

1/2 c. wild rice cooked

1/2 c. cooked lentils

1/2 c. onions minced fine

1/4 c. green pepper minced small to fine

1/2 c. olives chopped very small

1/2 c. celery chopped very small

1 tsp. salt

1 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning

2 Tbs. tahini butter

1/2 organic pizza sauce

1 c. quinoa cereal flakes ( hot cereal flakes not the whole grain quinoa)

  

What you do: 

mix all ingredient well. get in there with your hands, these seem to come together better if you do. Using 1/2 c. measurement divide into 7 portions, and form into patties about 2 3/4" across.  In heavy pan, (cast Iron works well), drizzle oil in pan and cook on medium low heat, these do better low and slow, about 5 to 6 minutes per side. don't crowd pan.  let stand 10 minutes before serving. Serve with extra pizza sauce and lettuce. yummmm.

Preparation Time: 
about 30 minutes or less if the rice and lentils are all ready cooked
Cooking Time: 
about 10 to 12 minutes cooking time and another 10 minutes to rest

7 burgers or patties
