What's the Marm toast
1 slice of your favorite bread
vegan margarine (I used Nucoa)
1. Toast your bread.
2. Spread on a generous amount of margarine.
3. Spread on a VERY THIN (this is very important!) layer of Marmite - it is very strong! If you spread it on too thick, you may decide that you hate it right then and there. Finally, spread on your orange marmalade. Enjoy!
Source of recipe: I had some Marmite in my cupboard and some Marmalade in my fridge. I wanted toast and couldn't choose between the two for a topping. So I put both of them on. Yum! It is sweet, salty, buttery and slightly bitter. It reminds me of a cross between pot roast and a glazed ham - from my pre-veggie days. This would be a great snack for any new Veggies who are craving meat.
