Walnut-Pecan-Apple Butter

What you need:

1-3/4 cups raw walnuts and pecans (in a proportion that you like)
2 tablespoosn maple syrup or agave nectar
2 tablespoons applesauce
1 tablespoons mild olive oil
pinch salt (optional)

What you do:

The applesauce adds a subtle fruity flavor, and allows for a lower fat content that nut butters that use oil alone.
1. Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor. Blend until everything is thoroughly mixed, and the consistency is creamy. This is delicious on wheat bread with banana slices, spread on a muffin, or used as a dipper for apples or pears.
