A Very Hippie Morning To You

What you need:

4 1/2 cups (one liter) soy milk
1 inch fresh ginger
2 cinnamon sticks
1 teaspoon cardamom seeds
1 teaspoon fennel seeds
2 teaspoon brown sugar
1/2 grated nutmeg-nut

What you do:

This makes a wonderful and very hippie-ish morning drink. Or evening drink, or dinner drink. You get it: great for every occasion.
1. Let the ginger, cinnamon, cardamom and fennel simmer in 1 cup soy milk. This takes about 10 minutes.
Ok, for this to work out nicely it is very important that it doesn't boil. Boiled soy milk is nasty, and easiöy sticks to the pan. So keep it hot, but not bubbling.
2. Add sugar, nutmeg and the rest of the soy milk and simmer for 5-10 minutes.
3. Strain off the spices and serve hot.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

thanks for responding springtime.  i loved your description of hippie-ish.  'a sweet yet slightly odd surface' - wonderful!  i enjoy people who have slightly odd surfaces.  the decription fits so many of my friends.

take care

a hippie-ish morning drink?  just to satisfy my curiosity springtime, how do you classify hippie-ish

by the way, your hippie-ish morning drink sounds very good. would be nice before sleep too.

I think you'll have to drink it to see what I'm on about, but it tastes as if it's been made by hippies, for hippies, in an air of peace, love and spices.

hippie-ish would be some(one)(thing) with good intentions and a sweet yet slightly odd surface wich/who leaves you with a feeling of just having had a very indescribeably special experience.

hope that helped...
