Very Easy and Tasty Lime Ginger Seitan Dish

What you need:

1 package of pre made seitan (sold at your favorite health food store)
all purpose flour (for coating the seitan)
1 medium sized onion
mushrooms
1/2 a bottle of Ginger People lime ginger sauce (or your own favorite vegan sauce, I
like this one a lot!)
salt
pepper
vegetable oil ( for frying)

What you do:

So you begin by draining the seitan from the package and slice into bite sized pieces.
In a bowl put enough flour to coat your seitan and season generously with salt and pepper.
Dip seitan into flour mixture, tap away any excess flour and fry in a pan of hot oil until golden and crispy on the outside. Once done drain on a paper towel.
Next cut your onion and mushrooms in desired shape, I like dicing the onion and slicing the mushrooms.
Take your onion and fry in pan until translucent, when that's done add mushrooms, season with salt and pepper. Meanwhile you take your favorite sauce and coat your seitan in a medium sized bowl.
When done, add that to your onions and mushrooms until heated enough for your liking.
Serve with rice and some roasted vegetables and you'll impress your friends, even those who don't eat vegetarian.

I am so thankful for this recipe. I was new to seitan and LOVE the breaded yumminess.

My modifications:
- Added broccoli and red pepper

Made my own marinade
- 2-3 tablespoons agave (or honey)
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 teaspoon black pepper

Served it to skimpy eaters and they lapped it up.  :P
