Thick Delicious Cashew Milk

What you need:

1 cup raw cashews
2 cups water
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
1 tablespoon coconut oil or coconut butter, optional

What you do:

1. Soak cashews in water for at least 1 hour (up to 8 hours). Blend drained cashews with water, maple syrup, salt, and coconut oil or butter (if desired).
2. Blend it for a few minutes until you don't see any big chunks of cashews.
3. Strain it using a fine sieve or cheesecloth. Refrigerate and enjoy!
This comes out pretty thick because that is how I like it. You can add more water to adjust to your own taste. I use this on cereal or in smoothies and it tastes delicious!
