Teriyaki Marinade

What you need:

2 cups tamari, shoyu, soy, or amino acids
2 cups white vinegar
2 cups water
1 cup raw cane sugar
1 diced white or yellow onion
1/4 cup diced raw ginger
5 cloves garlic

What you do:

Mix all liquids together, with vegan sugar,. Add vegetables.
Use as marinade, or for basting and barbecue.. It is also good to use as a soup base for seitan, or baked tofu, in the properly experimented measurements. Also, try using as a marinade for sliced fresh mango!!! Aloha

SO HOW'D IT GO?

I bought a bottle of kikkoman teriyaki with miso in it, and it was soooo good. Now I can't find it, so I am thinking of making this with some miso added to it.
I just used a bottle of teriyaki and added tamari and miso, and it is great! I'm putting it on some seitain ribz right now.

This made the best tofu I have ever had. I ate the whole block of tofu myself... :)>>>

I was using a recipe that called for teriyaki sauce, but of course had none. So, I made this tasty one! I marinated the tofu cubes for a couple of hours and then baked them and put on skewers with some fresh pineapple, brushed with sauce again and broiled.....mmm...delish!

Be warned...this makes a lot! I made 1/4 of this recipe and still have enough sauce left over to make the meal again later this week...  I'm now addicted. I can't imagine making the whole amount of this recipe unless you were planning on opening a restaurant or something....
