Sweetened Cream Cheese Dip
What you need:
2 tablespoons plain cream cheese
1-2 teaspoons artificial vanilla extract or 1/2-1 teaspoon real vanilla extract
2-4 drops almond extract (optional, I guess)
sugar to taste
What you do:
Combine all ingredients and stir with a fork or a small whisk until thoroughly combined and smooth. I really love vanilla so you might want to start with less vanilla at first and then add more to taste.
You can substitute confectioners sugar or sweetener for the sugar. I wouldn't use turbinado or any kind of coarse sweetener though because of the texture. I like the dip to be very smooth.
This tastes really good with royal gala and golden delicious apples, as well as pears. I bet it would be nice with frozen banana slices as well but I haven't tried it yet.
