Spicy Indian Macaroni

What you need: 

1 cup any uncooked pasta (macaroni, penne, shells, rigatoni)
1/2 cup chopped bell pepper (any color)
1/2 cup broccoli chopped
1 cup tomato puree/pasta sauce
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 serrano chili grated
1 teaspoon jeera
salt to taste
1 tablespoon oil

What you do: 

Heat oil in a pan. Sauté cumin seeds (jeera) till it changes color. Add grated chili and sauté for 1/2 minute. Add vegetables and tomato puree/pasta sauce, chill powder, turmeric powder, salt, pasta. Add enough water to cover the contents of the pan and cook the pasta. Cover with a tight fitting lid and cook till the pasta is done. Serve hot with garlic vegan bread.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

We didn't care for this at all. We followed the recipe exactly, and it just came out tasting..  well, icky.  Then we tried adding more spices to help it, but eventually we realized it was a lost cause. The whole thing went into the trash.  :(
