SO HOW'D IT GO?

These are great spicy fries.  I cubed my potatoes and soaked them in cold water for about 5 minutes before draining and adding the oil and spices.  After baking I wrapped them in a warm tortilla with salsa for breakfast.  Yum!

These were a  big hit.  I did let them stay in the oven a little too long, but the overall taste was BETTER than a fried version.  I DID add a little turmeric to the mix to give a little more depth in the spice department.  Very good recipe!

Turned out awesome! I deep fried mine and tossed in spicy mustard since i didn't have any powdered... eyeballed everything... perfect :)

Holy wow!  These are soooo good!  I was only cooking for myself, so I only made one potato and cut down the spices to suit.  I left out the dry mustard and didn't have any cayenne so I used a lil red pepper flakes.  I cut them thinner so it only took about 15-20 mins to cook.  Lovely! ;)b

Even after reading all the rave reviews I was skeptical when I was making these because I've had so much bad luck with oven fries in the past...but DAMN these are good!!!  I left out the cayenne but otherwise followed the recipe exactly.  Next time I think I would add just a pinch of cayenne but otherwise I wouldn't change a thing!

After many tries at home-made fries, all of which just didn't do it for me, these were a huge success.  I'm a chip/fry-aholic, so this will clearly be the new staple around here.  Thanks for the terrific recipe!

This recipe was so delicious! The fine folk at UW-Madison made these fries as part of our Karaoke Kitchen, and they were a HUGE hit. They were a little spicy for some members, but we solved that problem by making several sheets of the fries with varying coating/amounts of the chili powder and cayenne. So so wonderful! I cannot tell you how popular these were! They were beautiful little bursts of delicious on our palettes!

OMG! These are great! I didn't have any mustard, so I didn't use any, and instead of oregano I used 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning. Great flavor! This recipe rocks!
