Spicy Chardonnay Chili

What you need:

1 can black beams
1 can kidney beans
1 can great northern beans
2 cans diced tomatoes
1 can white corn
1 medium red onion
2-6 garlic cloves
1-3 jalapeno peppers
cumin, to taste
chili powder, to taste
cayenne pepper, to taste
salt, to taste
1 tablespoon sugar
1 1/2 cups Chardonnay

What you do:

Dice garlic and onion. Saute in large stockpot. Add diced jalapeno. Add Chardonnay and allow the alcohol to cook down. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for at least 1 hour. This Chili is great served in a sourdough breadbowl! I came up with this recipe when I wanted to make Beer Chili, and realized I was missing a key ingredient--the beer! Now I prefer it with wine, it really balances the heat of the peppers and adds a touch of sweetness.
