Soy Chorizo

What you need: 

1 cup textured soy protein
2 cubes vegetable bouillon + 1/2 cup hot water
8 ounces firm regular tofu
1 (12 ounce) box extra firm silken lite tofu (I use MoriNu)
1/2 tablespoon salt
2 tablespoons paprika
3 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon oregano
1 tablespoon cumin
1 tablespoon onion powder
1/4 cup cider vinegar

What you do: 

1. Mix textured soy protein, water, and bouillon. Mash tofus nto textured soy protein.
2. Mix spices into tofu mixture.
3. Fry in a nonstick pan until browned. Serve with refried beans and tortillas for a great breakfast taco.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

I really liked this. I used already made Veggie Burger Crumbles and I used Adobo because I was lacking in a lot of the spices. We at it right up! Good stuff.

this recipe is decent.  next time i will try using more tvp and leave out the tofu (but still use silken). i also added garlic powder and a little taco sauce.  at the end i stirred in fresh spinach, put the filling in tortillas and topped it with fresh guacamole.  delicious!
