so good crunchy raisins

What you need:

just enough raisins to fill your favorite pan in 1 layer

maple syrup to coat the raisins

oil just enough to coat the raisins

What you do:

mix all ingredients well (you may need to use your hands) then drop raisins onto oiled non-stick pan being careful not to smear the pan too much. and raisins should not be on top of each other - one layer only.  place in pre heated oven at 200 degrees for 3 hours or until fully dried.  take out and let fully cool, make sure they are for sure dry and have no warmth left before storing them. can be stored for weeks in a dry, cool place (pantry).  they are great for hiking, biking, adding to trailmixes.  or for making your own great trail mix , be creative, add nuts or seeds or other dried fruit to the original unbaked mixture and bake same way as written above.  have fun, experiment with different things.  try even toasting nuts with minced garlic, oil, cayenne, spices and herbs.  creativity is the key to fun, healthy, and tasty food - homemade!
