Seitan Roast Beef Sandwiches

What you need: 

1 lb. prepared seitan (I use Helen Rays brand)
1 15oz. can Westbrae Natural UnBeef broth
1 1.1oz. package of Fantastic (or any brand) onion Soup & Dip mix
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 to 1/2 cup red wine (optional)
black pepper to taste
rolls
horseradish

What you do: 

Preheat oven to 375 degrees f. Rinse seitan and slice into bite-size pieces. Place seitan in a 8X8 inch square baking dish. Pour the UnBeef broth over the seitan straight out of the can. Dont dilute it! Add the package of onion soup & dip mix, oil, and vegan red wine and stir the mixture until. Add pepper to taste. No need for salt - the soup mix has plenty!
Bake in 375 degree oven for 30 minutes - turning seitan once after 15 minutes. Serve on rolls with horseradish - or au jus!

SO HOW'D IT GO?

This recipe is terrific. It is tastes great and is simple to make. We added Follow Your Heart horseradish and used the leftover juices from the pan as an au jus!
