Rosemary Cheese Biscuits

What you need: 

2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 cup veg butter or margarine
1 cup plain soy milk
1/2 cup soy cheddar-style cheese, shredded
1 tablespoon crushed rosemary leaves
1 tablespoon basil
1 tablespoon sage
1 tablespoon rubbed thyme

What you do: 

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. In a large mixing bowl, add all the ingredients together in any order you please and stir by hand until all the ingredients are well-mixed and form a nice dough. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet, and cook for about 10 -12 minutes. The biscuits are done when the bottoms are nicely browned. (The tops will still be white... don't let that fool you! :D)
Just a note, the measurements for the herbs are approximations, I usually just throw in whatever amount feels right. Feel free to experiment, just be careful not to use too much rosemary. These biscuits are especially wonderful with a nice chunky potato soup, or any other favorite comfort food!

SO HOW'D IT GO?

I'm not a soy cheese fan, but I'd like to try these. Do you think these would work and still taste cheesy if I used a touch of nutritional yeast instead? Thanks in advance for any advice given.

these are really good! I made them yesterday and I only have two left- the fact that they come out pretty much white on top kinda threw me off- and when I toasted them today, they browned a little more and looked a little more "done." I think next time, I'll cook them another five minutes. otherwise, really very good!

These are really good!!  I did only need 1/2 cup of soymilk though so, maybe add 1/2 cup first and add more as needed so the dough isn't too mushy.  thanks for the recipie everyone loved them.

Fan-taste-ic--I'm not a real cheese fan, I omitted it but it still came out real yummy!
