Red Pasta Sauce

What you need: 

1/4 large onion, chopped
1 (14 ounce) can Italian diced tomatoes
1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 pinch salt
1 heaping teaspoon Italian herbs
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
marjoram, to taste
few tablespoons olive oil, to taste

What you do: 

Saute onions. Add all other ingredients, including additional olive oil if desired, to large sauce pan and cook until warm.
Source of recipe: I made this up just after I got married.
