Polish Braised Red Cabbage

What you need: 

2 tablespoons olive oil
1 medium white onion, diced
4 cloves garlic, minced
salt and pepper, to taste
1/2 medium head red cabbage, shredded
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup red wine
2 tablespoons brown sugar

What you do: 

1. In a large pot, heat the olive oil and add the onions, garlic, salt, and pepper. Cook until onions are translucent.
2. Add in the cabbage and water. Cook until about 1/2 the water is gone. Add in the vinegar, red wine, and sugar. Cook until most of the liquid is gone.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

This was yummy! I added raisins forsweetness and texture. They rehydrated and were nice and plump. It was a great dish.
