Platano Maduro

What you need: 

1 cup oil
2 ripe, almost black plantains, peeled and sliced 1/2"

What you do: 

1. Heat oil in a frying pan. Once the oil is hot, place the sliced plantains in. They cook fast.
2. Turn them to cook both sides. They will have a golden brown color. Once they are done serve them right away.
The easiest recipe ever.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

Fried plantains are so good!  I like them salted and served with black beans, particularly if you fry them while firm and green.  If you get them blackened, soft, and ripe, they are sweeter, and taste amazing with a little sugar and cinnamon sprinkled on top after frying!  :o
