Pear Riesling Sorbet

What you need:

1 cup water
1 cup riesling wine, divided
1/2 cup sugar
2 pears, chopped (I used Bosc)

What you do:

1. Dissolve sugar in water and 1/2 cup wine in a saucepan. Boil for 3 minutes. Pour into a bowl and let cool.
2. Refrigerate for a few hours. Stir remaining 1/2 cup wine into syrup mixture. Freeze overnight.
3. The next day, add pears to blender and puree. Add wine ice mixture and blend.
4. Freeze for a couple of hours until desired consistency is reached.
I served in margarita glasses garnished with a mint leaf.
Source of recipe: A local icecream place where I live serves a pear riesling sorbet. I searched online for several sorbet recipes and created this recipe by combining ideas from a few different recipes.
