This is an adaptation of a recipe that I often make, though not usually for breakfast. My bf and I joke that it's a no-bake cookie in a bowl! I don't usually add the extra syrup--the chocolate chips are sweet enough. I also add the pb and chips to oat bran and Scottish/Steel cut oats. Delish as a brunch or a healthier option dessert!

This was really hard for me to consume when I made it yesterday morning.  It was too sweet for my taste, and I felt so bad that I had to waste some of my precious oatmeal!  Today I will definitely go back to my normal of brown sugar, flax and raisins!

I made this for dinner the only night (I was craving something sweet :) ).  I didn't have maple syrup, so I mashed a banana into the oatmeal instead.  Yum!
