Pasta with TVP and Spinach
1 (12-ounce) box whole wheat pasta
1 cup dry TVP, prepared per package directions
2 (15-ounce) cans marinara sauce
1/2 (10-ounce) box frozen chopped spinach, thawed
1 garlic clove, grated
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
garlic powder, to taste
chili flakes, to taste
1. Cook noodles to al dente. While noodles are cooking cook TVP according to directions (should take 5 to 10 minutes).
2. Once noodles are cooked, drain, and place back into sauce pot. Add both cans of marinara sauce, thawed spinach, cooked TVP, grated garlic, salt, and pepper.
3. Heat through. Once heated and ready to serve, add garlic powder and chili flakes.
