Orange Julius

What you need:

2 cups nondairy milk (I use soy)
1 (6 ounce) can concentrated frozen orange juice
12-15 ice cubes
2 cups water
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup sugar

What you do:

1. Put all the ingredients into blender.
2. Blend, but not liquify. You want small ice chunks.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

This was super delicious. I'm actually drinking it right now... nommm. I used a 1/2 teaspoon extra vanilla like other reviewers suggested and it turned out great. I never had the original orange julius since I always got strawberry banana smoothies from there, but my girlfriend was a huge fan of original orange juliuses before we went vegan. She says it tastes just like it. :D

i think you could get away without it. i mix vanilla soymilk and oj from time to time and find it has the same flavor (at least how i remember). perhaps all the ice melts some to account for the concentrated juice.

Unbelievably delicious.  I live in Texas, where it is currently ungodly hot, and this is a lifesaver!  I don't know how I got through summers before it.  Absolutely fabulous!  ;D ;D ;D

Ani, you should be able to use 12 packets of Sweet-'n'-Low to equal 1/2 cup sugar.  I also suggest everyone to use an extra 1/2 tsp of vanilla.  This is an amazing recipe. Great job!

Do you really even need another 1/2 cup of sugar ontop of the Orange Concentrate? You'd think that'd be enough sweetness right there.
