SO HOW'D IT GO?

Okay, so the first time I made this, I cut it down to a very small portion, so as not to waste ingredients if I didn't like it. I loved it! It was so gooey, and that's what I like in a brownie. If it's too cakey, it's just not good to me.

However, the next two times I made it, using the normal portion, it was not good. It had a mousse-like consistancy, and when it came out of the microwave, it was still sort of "mousse-y". And it tasted of plain sugar, like I could actually feel it crunching in my teeth. I don't know what happened :(

I'm not a vegan, but I thought this would be a great idea to cure my chocolate craving when studying.  I was wrong.  These tasted awful.  Even my roomates thought so.  Not enough sugar.  Not enough chocolate.  Texture was weird.  There are tons of other posts here that say they loved them so I would hope whoever reads this will still try to make them.

This is  really a great tasty snack! It's nice to have brownies that taste so good without the eggs. More so, using olive oil is a good concept; it has less calories than regular vegetable oil. Also, it was pretty hard to find chocolate chips that doesn't contained any animal products; I was fortunate though to find some white ones. Thanks again, Moe:)

Oh and I just thought I would add....

YOU WILL NEED A HIGH LEVEL OF SELF CONTROL WHEN MAKING THESE BROWNIES...

I thought you should all be warned that it is very difficult NOT TO EAT THE WHOLE LOT IN ONE GO.

Don't say I didn't warn you.  >:D

I LOVE this recipe and have only just joined VegWeb (after 3 years of recipe browsing) so thought I would make this my first post.  When I first went vegan/vego (about 3 years ago) I wanted cake and chocolate all the time and I used to just about LIVE off this recipe.  The only thing I noticed was that they can get very dry but I just added some store brand chocolate syrup to it (which is vegan), about 1/4 C or so, and they came out sooooooooooooo good.  So quick and easy and yummy!!!  Thank you thank you thank you to the inventor of this recipe, I think I love you...LOL  ^-^

to die for! I quarter the recipe, add a teaspon of peanut butter, a splash of soymilk (the batter seems really dry to me) then microwave it for three minutes.

THESE ARE AMAZING!

I didn't have any bananas or applesauce in the house, so I used frozen strawberries instead.  I just heated them in the microwave until they were soft enough to mash, and then mashed them up into something that resembled applesauce.  I also added egg replacer equal to one egg, because I figured strawberries probably don't bind things together as well as bananas or applesauce.  And I used whole wheat flour, because that's what I had.

The strawberriness was really good, I recommend it!
