I can not confirm or deny that I followed this recipe EXACTLY.  I remember using measuring cups, though, so the vinegar and lemon juice should be exact.  It's possible I used firm silken tofu as opposed to soft silken tofu.

I didn't eat this concoction straight up, sour cream style.  I used it in a recipe that called for sour cream, and it served its purpose well.

Kudos to you, fake sour cream!

OMG This is awesome! As a born again vegan and a former dairy lover I was shocked at how good this is. Even my omni-mom, who despises the taste of tofu, was impressed. Can't wait to top my vegan enchilada casserole with it.  ::)

I like this sour cream sub the best. I usually make the  "tofu sour cream" recipe from this site because it's good, however this tastes better to me, and I dont miss the oil and sugar from the other recipe.Nor do I miss the high price of Tofutti.
I was able to taste the lemon within, but i wasnt bothered by it, though I know some may be. 1/4 cup is a lot of lemon juice, but there are no complaints from me. :P I ate it with baked potatoes, chili, shreddified follow your heart cheese and green onions and it was quite the special occasion. Thanks for the recipe!!

Hmm, I don't know...

I tried this tonight and I wasn't sure if I liked it or not. It did have a pleasing sourness to it that real sour cream has but the soybean flavor that lingered, I did not like. I didn't use Mori-nu tofu however which may be the reason why it wasn't up to par. I'll try it again with the correct brand of tofu next time!

Before my family became vegans the sour cream was more like a side dish than a topping.  This recipe had the same effect! But this time I enjoyed watching it all disappear. ;)

I used to LOVE sour cream, and missed it when I became veg, but now I can have the taste again.  I tried to make 1/2 a batch, when I tried it alone, I thought it was too lemony. That night with a baked potato, it was heavenly.  Thank you!!!

This was the first time, i tried making my own faux "sour cream". I have never been very impressed with the store bought brands.Maybe i just expected too much..I have not been dairy free for very long, i have been meat free for 26 years, so i no longer crave meat, but my  dairy cravings are still strong.. anyway, i thought this was great! the texture is beautiful and i loved it with nachos.i did not feel that i was being deprived of anything.. this will become my "sour cream . i also mixed in a bit of salsa to make salsa dip.. yummy!I plan on using it as a base for a lot of dips.
