Fastest, Easiest Homemade Pizza Crust

What you need: 

2 cup unbleached all purpose flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
12 ounces beer

What you do: 

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease a cookie sheet (12 x 18" or slightly smaller works well).
2. Combine all ingredients. Dough does not have to rise at all, but will be fairly wet and sticky.
3. Press into prepared cookie sheet If it seems too sticky to work with, sprinkle a little flour on it as you pat/press it into the pan.
4. Top with your favorite sauce and toppings. Bake 20-25 minutes or until dough is browning and crisp around edges.
Voila! Enjoy!

SO HOW'D IT GO?

Currently making this with a few subs;
Ginger ale for the beer, baking soda for the powder and just 3 cups of white flour instead of wheat. I am using the bread as rolls for grilled tempeh. So excited!  ^-^

JCT2775 yes you can use 3 cups AP flour it should be fine... do not sub VWG!

I do have vital wheat gluton, could that be used?

Could I use three cups of all purpose flour instead of 2 all purpose and one wheat?
I dont have any wheat flour in the house....

Yes this was easy, but it tasted not at all like pizza crust & more like a weird pastry crust.  Not for this NY born & bred pizza lover.

Good in theory, not so great in implementation. It came out dense, bland, and dry. Even thought I cooked it for longer than mentioned, it still wasn't crunchy like I was expecting! Maybe some spices would help like other people have said.

I can't believe I forgot to review this.  This is AMAZING and EASY.  I make it only for myself so I only use 100g of WW Flour 1tsp of Baking Powder and a little over 1/3 cup of Club Soda (I don't like to use alcohol).  I bake the dough for about 10 minutes then put on the sauce and toppings let it bake for another 20-25 minutes and it comes out Perfect!!!  Thank You for this recipe!

i love this recipe! i add a lot of dried basil, some dried oregano, garlic powder, nutritional yeast, & seasoning salt. so yummy! but can someone help me out? I made this tonight and used tomato sauce, follow your heart mozzerella cheese, sliced tomatos, spinach, olives, and "baconized" tofu, and the middle was really soggy...i'm assuming its from the moisture from the cheese, tomatoes and olives? does anyone know what I can do to prevent that? it was just so gooey in the middle and was hard to handle & serve. still really tasty though :)

I was very worried about wasting a beer, but the crust worked out well enough.  I found it to be a bit too dense, and I had to struggle to get it to size (should have been enough dough for two large mediums with 3c of flour).  Overall, great recipe when you decide you want pizza RIGHT NOW.  I'll be sure to add some seasoning to it next time I make it.

As a side note, everything we ate that night had beer in it: crust, sauce, drinks.  Best night ever.
