2.5 - 3 cups rolled oats
.5 cup of each:
slivered almonds, chopped pecans, chopped walnuts, and unsweetened shredded coconut
1.5 cups chopped pitted dates
.5 cup or more of light corn syrup
Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl, add the corn syrup last. Everything should stick together nicley, if still too dry add more corn syrup one tablespoon at a time.
Scoop mixture into large nonstick or lightly greased baking tray (a lasagna dish works perfectly). I know it is sticky, but, press down.
Place in fridge for 10 minutes so it can set.
After, cut your desired size bars. Doing it now will help a lot baking. Preheat oven to 350 and then bake for about 15 minutes or until nicely browned.
Cut and let cool. Eat or save in container.
These are pleasantly sweet, and crunchy! If you like chewy granola bars, do not make these, you will not like them.
