Cinnamon Roll Quick Fix

What you need:

any kind of bread (white works best)
1 tablespoon vegan buttery spread
3-6 tablespoon soymilk
cinnamon
sugar

What you do:

1. Pound down bread slice with your hand to make it flat. Place it on a plate.
2. Melt butter or margarine in microwave for about 30 seconds, enough for it to melt. Add milk in with it, mix around.
3. Pour or dip bread in to saturate it.
4. Sprinkle desired amount of cinnamon and sugar on bread piece and roll it up.
5. Sprinkle more cinnamon and sugar on top if you want.
6. Microwave for about 20-30 seconds. It gets hot really fast.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

Also, I had to microwave for 1 minute at the end.
I think because I used a denser bread.

Um.....
I was VERY skeptical about this recipe but it is SO GOOD!
I used WW organic bread (good nutty flavor), Florida crystals, and low fat vanilla soy milk.

RE: the earlier comments
I think with WW bread it has more nutritional value than real cinnamon rolls. If you want you can sprinkle flax on for a nutty flavor, more fiber and good fat.

Seriously, I was so surprised! I will positively be making this again. Of course, I'm not going to serve it at a brunch or anything but it's a yummy fix or treat.
Okay, my 3 year old and I just finished 2 slices and I have to run and make more!
So I'll actually be making it again ... NOW!

Oh, wow!  This was great!  I'm impressed at how simple it was to make and how delicious the outcome was.  I'm so happy that I can eat something that has such a quick preparation time and that still smells and tastes like it's fresh from a cinnamon bun bakery!

I actually think its a great idea! I don't like making cinnamon rolls as I would eat the whole thing.  ;D

All I have to say is ARE YOU SERIOUS?

This is obese-vegan food with no nutrients whatsoever and no class. There are some amazing recipes on this site, but I can't believe this made it onto the newsletter.

Nothing against you Kiki, we all make up great binge food when we're craving, but I'm just shocked that it was on the Weekly Recipe sheet.

Who says that all vegan food has to have nutritional value?  Why can't vegans eat junk food too?

How rude! Quite being a snob. I'm so sick of reading nasty comments on this site.

this isn't actually really unhealthy at all.  you really don't have to have much sugar at all, the butter is minimal, and the bread can be whole wheat.  in fact i think this is a pretty healthy snack when there are so many less healthy choices people, even vegans, can make.  plus, it's delicious.

Genius! Genius I tell you! If you add just a tiny bit of vanilla in with the butter it's even better! :D
