Chocolate Self-Saucing Pudding

What you need:

2 tablespoons margarine (I use Nuttelex)
1/2 cup granulated sweetener of choice
1 1/4 cup plain flour
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup soy milk
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder (extra)
2 cups boiling water

What you do:

In a pyrex pudding bowl, place the margarine. Microwave for 1 minute on high or until it is melted. Add the granulated sweetener, plain flour, cocoa powder and soy milk to the bowl. Beat until it is all smooth. Sprinkle the combined brown vegan sugar and cocoa powder on top of the mixture. Pour the boiling water over the top. Microwave for 17 minutes on medium power. Stand for five minutes before serving. You can also cook this in a conventional oven, if you prefer. Serve with soy icecream or soy custard.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

I think what's needed is some kind of rising agent - like baking power, baking soda, or egg replacer. Otherwise the dry ingredients just sit at the bottom and don't converse very well with the sauce fluid.
