Chocolate Oatmeal Bombs

What you need: 

3 cups of oatmeal
1 cup of spelt flour
1 tablespoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 cup of raw sugar
1/2 cup of cocoa powder
1 cup of mashed bananas
2 tablespoons of black strap molasses
1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup of raisins or walnuts (optional)

What you do: 

Combine the first five ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
In a separate bowl, combine the next five ingredients and add them to the dry mix.
Stir in the raisins and walnuts.
Roll into small balls (1/4" thickness) and place on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 275 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
Enjoy!

SO HOW'D IT GO?

I made this recipe using whole wheat flour instead of spelt, agave syrup instead of sugar, and enjoy life chocolate chips instead of nuts.  I also used one mashed banana plus enough pureed beans to make 1 cup.  I think they turned out good, but I agree that chocolate needs fat to taste good.  So next time I make them I'll probably increase the amount of pureed beans.

I probably wouldn't make these again. I didn't use the optional raisins but would recommend them, it may have made them not as banana-ey.
