Cauliflower with Potatoes

What you need: 

2-3 tablespoons corn oil
1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
2 bay leaves
1 onion, chopped
1/2 head cauliflower, chopped to florets
2 potatoes, cubed
pinch turmeric
salt, to taste
2 teaspoons ginger paste
2 teaspoons cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 cup green peas
1 jalapeno, minced
2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
pinch sugar

What you do: 

1. Heat the oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds and the bay leaves. Add the onion and fry for 6-7 minutes.
2. Now add the cauliflower, potatoes,turmeric and salt. Cook covered for 7-8 minutes.
3. Add the rest of the ingredients and cook for 10 more minutes, sprinkling a little water once in a while.

Quite a tasty dish this one!  I changed it a tad.. used half regular potatoes and half sweet potato (as seen in image).  I think this dish would be great with carrot in it too.. and although very flavoursome, it was a bit dry for my liking.  All round though, a very healthy, filling meal.
