Butterscotch Yams

What you need: 

1 large baked yam
1/4 cup brown rice syrup
1 tablespoon real maple syrup
1/8 tablespoon ground ginger
1/8 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1/2 tablespoon rum flavoring
1/2 tablespoon vegan butter flavoring
toasted walnuts or pecans, optional

What you do: 

1. Peel and slice yam into 1" rounds. Place in glass casserole dish.
2. In separate bowl, placed other ingredients and microwave 2-3 minutes until bubbly.
3. Pour over yams and return to microwave 2 minutes more or until yams are hot. Sprinkle nuts on top, if desired.
The flavor of this is so rich that you'll think your eating something sinful.
