Buttercream Frosting

What you need: 

1/2 cup vegan butter, softened (I use Earth Balance)
1/2 cup vegan shortening
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 cups powdered sugar
2 tablespoons soymilk

What you do: 

1) Using a hand mixer, cream together vegan butter, shortening, and vanilla.
2) Add the sugar one cup at a time, mixing well after each addition. Add the soymilk and mix until combined. Refrigerate until ready to use.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

Not to bad.  I don't think I would use this one again though.  Leaves that greasy film in your mouth like after you have whip cream from starbucks (in my non-vegan days).

Thank you for trying it! I wonder- do you think less shortening would help? I adapted the recipe from an omni one. I notice when I do that recipes are a bit different. I think it is because of the vegan butter, but not sure.
