Breakfast Couscous

What you need:

1 cup cooked couscous (or 1/3 cup uncooked)
2 teaspoons maple syrup
3 teaspoons raisins
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

What you do:

Cook couscous according to directions on package (or heat up leftover couscous). Add maple syrup, raisins, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix well.
I thought there was already a breakfast couscous recipe on this site but when I realized there wasn't, I decided to make my own. Its yummy and sweet, a nice alternative to oatmeal.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

I threw in some mandarin oranges and a cranberry/nut salad blend that I had. It was delicious!

I've just discovered that this recipe tastes even better if you throw in a few pecans - not to mention it gives some added protein to get you started in the morning!
