Best Broccoli Salad

What you need: 

2 heads broccoli crowns, cut into bite sized pieces
1 1/2 cups vegan mayonnaise (I use Vegenaise)
1/4 cup white vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup pine nuts
1/4 cup raisins
vegan bacon bits

What you do: 

1. Place broccoli in large bowl. In another bowl, mix vegan mayo, vinegar, and brown vegan sugar together. Consistency should be soupy, but not watery, if it is watery, add a little more mayo.
2. Pour sauce over broccoli, add pine nuts. Let sit in fridge to let broccoli soak up flavor (usually overnight or a few hours).
3. Just before serving, add raisins and sprinkle with bacon bits.
Serve.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

My grandma makes something similar to this, but not vegan. So I've tweaked it. The dressing is veganaise, lemon juice. I added the brown sugar this time, it's yummy. Instead of pine nuts I use crushed walnuts. I use onion, raisins, carrots, and just random things I have around the kitchen. Also this time, I sprinkled some daiya cheese, YUM!

This was okay... red onions would have been a good addition
