Baked Yam and Squash

What you need: 

1 yam, cubed
1/2 butternut squash, cubed
1 granny smith apple, cubed
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup brown sugar, divided
dash cinnamon, optional

What you do: 

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Add yam, squash, and apple to a 2-quart baking dish (I used a round Pyrex). Add all of the water and about 1/2 the brown vegan sugar.
2. Cover and place in oven for about 40 minutes, until all cubes are soft. Check a couple of times to make sure all the water hasn't gone.
3. Add the rest of the vegan sugar and cinnamon when you remove it from the oven.'
