Anti-Stress Herbal Pillow

What you need:

1/2 cup dried rose petals
1/2 cup dried hops
Rose essential oil or attar of roses
Handkerchief or bandanna
Cloth bag (about 6 inches square--a drawstring bag is good)
Plastic bag, for storage (I use Ziplock bags)

What you do:

1) Spread out the handkerchief/bandanna on a table. Place the dried herbs in the center and sprinkle with 5 or 6 drops of rose oil.
2) Fold the bandanna sides-to-middle and bottom-to-top to form a "package". Place in the cloth bag and either close the drawstring or knot the end closed. Those who can sew can make their own drawstring bag in less than 5 minutes.
3) Place the resulting pillow under your bed's pillow at night. The essential oil and herbal fragrance help you relax and relieves occasional insomnia or stress. Store pillow in a plastic bag during the day to conserve the essential oils. This way the pillow will last for a month or two before the oil needs to be refreshed. Replace the herbs every 3 months.
Source of recipe: I adapted this herbal aid from a documentary I saw on alternative medicine.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

BTW, I usually put the herbal bag inside the pillowslip to keep it from going walkabout in the middle of the night.
