Abi's Grotesque Chocolate Cake

What you need:

Cake:
1 cup flour
3/4 cup "vegan" sugar - like sweetener
1/2 cup soy milk
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoons vanilla
2 tablespoons non-hydrogenated vegan margarine (melted)
3 to 4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
Chocolate Goo:
1 cup boiling water
3/4 or 1 cup sugar
5 tablespoons cocoa powder

What you do:

This cake is miraculous. The final product is basically chocolate cake floating atop thick molten chocolate goo.
Preheat oven to 400 Fahrenheit.
Put water on to boil.
Combine all cake ingredients (ingredients 1-7). Pour into a small greased pan (a loaf pan works best, a 9"x9" would probably do the trick too).
In small bowl, combine final 3 ingredients. Stir to dissolve sugar/cocoa powder. Pour this liquid directly onto cake batter in pan.
Bake 30 minutes.
The liquid will thicken during baking/ upon cooling, and the cake will float to the top. Chocolate addicts rejoice. Sorry, this is not very healthy.... ohh well.

Don't be fooled by the name! I skipped over this recipe several times, but am glad I finally tried it!! Simple ingredients and easy to make (especially good for a novice baker!) yet very tasty :) Thank you for sharing, I will def be using this again! Smile

Any suggestions for a topping?
