1 (8 count) package hamburger buns
1 (20 ounce) jar pizza or tomato sauce
3/4 cup mushrooms, sliced
3/4 cup onion, diced
1/4 cup black olives, sliced
1 (8 ounce) package vegan mozzarella cheese (I use Daiya)
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lay out each hamburger bun open on a cookie sheet. Smear the pizza sauce over the top of each bun.
2. Add the toppings generously to each bun. Sprinkle vegan mozzarella over the top of each pizza bun.
3, Bake for 15 minutes, or until veggies are cooked and bun is slightly crispy.
Not the most gourmet snack I've ever made, but definitely worth making as an Hors d'oeuvre, or a quick easy snack for kids or a hungry husband! These have taken the place of my husband's love for frozen pizza bagel snacks (blerg).
