1 cup sugar
3/4 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 dash cinnamon
1 pinch of salt
1 tablespoon vegan butter
1 1/2 cups almonds
1) Take a cookie sheet and put parchment paper or tin foil on it and spray it down with nonstick spray.
2) Take all the ingredients except the almonds and put them into a saucepan. Heat until boiling, stiring constantly. After boiling for about a minute, add the almonds. Keep mixing for approximately another 10 minutes or so until all the liquid has dissolved and the crystallized sugar has fully bonded to the almonds.
3) Take the mixture and dump it onto the cookie sheet and let it cool for about 5 minutes.
Source of recipe: I got a bad craving for candied almonds, and couldn't find a recipe I liked so I made up this one.
