14-16 oz tube vegan sausage or other sticky, non crumble, vegan meat substitute
1/4 cup chopped green onions
2 1/2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
1/2-1 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
1 tablespoon peeled, finely chopped ginger
1/2-1 teaspoons curry powder
1/2-1 teaspoons ground cumin
4 large sesame hamburger buns, toasted
small amount of oil for frying
1/2 cup vegan mayonnaise
2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/2-1 teaspoons sesame oil
toppings: shredded napa cabbage, bean sprouts, fresh cilantro, sliced tomatoes
In large bowl mix vegan sausage, green onions, chopped cilantro, soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, ginger, curry powder, cumin and mix well. Shape into 4 patties.
In a separate bowl whisk vegan mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, soy sauce and oil; refrigerate.
Heat oil in frying pan on medium-high heat, fry burgers 8-10 minutes on each side until well done (the longer you fry them the firmer the texture) adjust the cooking time to meet your family's needs. Drain patties on paper towel.
Spread chili mayo on buns; top with burgers and toppings.
