1 cup sunflower seeds
1 cup engivita yeast
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup grated carrot
1 cup mushrooms
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon celery salt
2 tablespoon garlic powder
1/3 cup brown rice miso
juice of one lemon
1/4 cup tamari or soy sauce or Braggs Liquid Aminos
squirt of Tabasco or Worcestershire sauce (optional)
1/2 cup white wine.. optional.. but I must say it certainly adds a nice kick!!!
In blender add together the mushrooms with rest of wet ingredients. After it is nice and mushy, add the sunflower seeds. Mix until a nice pasty consistency. Combine together grated carrot and rest of dry ingredients in a bowl. Stir until mixed together.
You can either use a shallow loaf pan or a pie plate depending on how you want it to look.
Cook in 325 degrees F oven for 1 hour.. or until it becomes brown on top and separates from the side of baking dish.
This can be served many ways.. on vegan crackers or sliced on a salad.. the possibilities are endless!!
