2 ecologically grown bananas
1 tablespoon thistle oil or other non tasting oil
1 tablespoon glucose powder sugar
1 tablespoon cashew nuts
1 teaspoon sunflower seeds (roasted)
125 ml soya cream or equivalent
8 chopped dates (preferably fresh)
2 lumps of soya based ice cream (vanilla) (Optional)
Heat the oil in a frying pan and add the glucose with 2 tablespoons of water. Peel the bananas and cut them in half (Both by length and width) so from each banana you have 4 flat pieces. When the oil is very hot add the bananas, nuts and dates, turn bananas occasionally and fry until oil and water soaks up and evaporates.
Serve the feast with cold soya cream and/or soya ice cream. This is a fantastic periodic recipe for us vegans who also need a fatty-sweety experience now and again.
