1 12 oz. package extra firm tofu
1-2 tablespoon olive oil
2-3 tablespoon soy sauce
Press tofu until it is relatively dry. Cut tofu into 1/4 inch thick sections. In a medium to hot skillet, add olive oil. Add tofu and fry until golden brown. Turn off heat and immediately add soy sauce. Stand back so that you don't get burned by the sizzling soy sauce. Remove tofu from pan after about 1-2 mins.
My husband and I eat this tofu as a sandwich filling on toasted whole wheat bread with mustard and kosher pickles. Weve also used it as a substitute for veggie sausage.
